Can I modify the layout before I download?

Yes, the tool can read a downloaded format and open it in our rich text editor. You can make modifications such as adding/removing/modifying text, aligning elements, adding/removing images, etc, before saving it in DOCX format.

Can this work for pictures and scanned PDFs?

Currently this is unable to process scanned PDFs or pictures. This tool works for PDFs that were created from (or containing elements that were created from) MS Word, MS Excel, LibreOffice, or PageMaker. If the tool can’t read a particular element, it will suggest to use an OCR tool.

Is the Word (.docx) file readable on other devices?

Yes. A Word Document that contains Devanagari script, will be readable on Android and IOS devices, as well as MS Word and Google Docs, without the need to install a font.
